If you’re looking for a selfie drone and you’re only a beginner with decent drone flying skills, the Dragon Touch DF01 is a great purchase. It’s good-looking and foldable selfie drone. Unfortunately if we’re going to be brutally honest, some of the specs on this drone could use improvement. To be specific, its flight time and range.

The following are the features and functions that can make the Dragon Touch DF01, worth the purchase or not.
Design and build quality
This drone is a great choice for selfie lovers since it features a foldable design making it easy to handle and carry with you. Even though the blades don’t come in a split design for increased foldability, you can align them to the foldable arms and your drone will scale down to a manageable size for easy transportation.
This selfie drone has a total of 4 LED lights with a light under each arm. The lights on the front of the drone are green in color, and the ones on the back are red. This color coding makes it considerably easy to establish the front and back sides of the drone when flying as a beginner.
The shell of the drone is made out of black ABS plastic with a simple and clear design. ABS plastic is a great choice of material for a beginner drone since it’s durable, light and relatively cheap.
Camera quality
This selfie drone is equipped with a 1080HD camera which has a fish-eye lens and a 120° field of view. The camera’s image quality is not the best in dark environments since it has poor sensors. During the day however, this drone is capable of capturing high-quality images and crisp footage, which is something that selfie fanatics will love. With a First-Person-View (FPV) capability, you can see what the drone is seeing for better manageability.
Battery and flight time
The Dragon Touch DF01 has two 3.7V 1000mAh batteries that are supposed to give you a total of 20 minutes flying time, with each one of the batteries accounting for 10 minutes of flying time. However, the majority of users claim that they get only a total of 10 minutes with each battery seemingly contributing 5mins of flying time. Since the drone requires a charging time of 90 minutes, you may feel that waiting all that long to get only 10 minutes of total flying time is not what you may have expected. Remote controller
The transmitter that is used with this drone is a 2.4GHz remote controller with great beginner features. The transmitter has a retractable phone clamp, one key takeoff and landing, a photo/video key, a speed switch and a one-key return. This controller can broadcast within a range of 90 meters, which may not be a satisfactory range for more advanced drone pilots. This range is probably good enough if you are a beginner and focused mainly on using this as a selfie drone.

This selfie drone has amazing functions that will make flying easier as a beginner. The following are some of the functions that will come in handy:

Who is this drone made for?
The Dragon Touch DF01 looks like a good drone for professional use, but that’s not the case. It’s more suited for use by beginner drone pilots and anyone else who needs to take a quick selfie for personal use. However, since the drone comes in at quite a low price, it’s worth the money if you’re in the market for a decent selfie drone.
